Cove Park Crafts and Design Residency (Part 1), Argyll & Bute, June 2021

A selection of woven plant life and seaweed ‘Offerings’ made during a residency at Cove Park residency programme, Scotland in June 2021. The residency followed a period of research into the local coastal landscape and architecture, where Jenny’s maternal family lived between the 1950-70’s.

The individual works use the endangered craft of Passementerie to weave together local plant life, such as ferns, wheatgrass, flowers and seaweed, with yarns and marine ropes. The ephemeral works suggestive of wreaths and offerings.
